Our Partners:

Robin Hood Country Day School is a world for children, a world to explore, to enjoy, to learn new skills and to make new and lasting friendships in an atmosphere free from tension. Children are already under too much stress during the regular school year. The summer is a time to relax and to enjoy. The proof of the success of our outlook can be seen each summer in the smiling and glowing faces of the children who come back to Robin Hood year after year.

What Makes Robin Hood Unique and Special?

We realize it is difficult for parents to select one camp over another. What makes Robin Hood different? Why should you select Robin Hood for your child?

Our campus is one of the most beautiful on Long Island. Many parents over the years have remarked "it looks just like a sleep-away camp".

We have three beautiful heated swimming pools, each designed for a specific age group. Additionally three great water slides are installed. Depending upon swimming ability as measured by American Red Cross swim skills children will advance to the pool most compatible with their swimming ability.

We adjoin the campus of C.W. Post College. This gives us the use, by agreement with C.W. Post, of an additional ten acres of athletic fields, which added to our own magnificent fifteen acres gives us twenty-five acres for children to spread out and to enjoy playing soccer and baseball on large and safe playing fields.

Our sports camp program is exciting and unique.

Our boys and girls in grades four and above will go on a three day trip to Club Getaway in Kent, Connecticut, a beautiful sleep-away camp.

In addition to the regular day camp program, our campers enjoy special events such as Walt Disney Day, Crazy Hat Day, Circus Theme Day, Carnival Days and Cookout Days.

Our campers in grades three and up are eligible for our club program where they elect one of their periods. Some of the electives are: baseball, soccer, basketball, arts & crafts, climbing wall, science and rocketry.

We have sports specialists in baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, mini-tennis and street hockey.

On rainy days special trips out of camp are planned. In addition we use our beautiful gym equipped with climbing wall & walled soccer court, and the East Coast Athletic Club located in nearby Port Washington. At East Coast we use the following facilities: a beautiful indoor, heated swimming pool, a large gymnasium for basketball and other games, a specially designed facility which enables the children to exercise in a very creative and fun way.

The boys and girls in grade six and above (our seniors) participate in an Optional Choice program which is unique to Robin Hood. The children, every two weeks, specialize in one or more of these activities, sailing, tennis, golf, racquetball, and horseback riding.

Finally, there is a certain spirit and feeling at Robin Hood which is impossible to convey in words. Parents see it when they visit. Our mature professional staff of teachers and specialists make this all possible. Parents love and praise our experienced and caring staff.
